Lending A Helping Hand
Some of the enjoyment of employing over 300 staff across our multiple depots, is the sense of contributing to the local community and the scale of our operations. We take joy in being able to contribute further when opportunities present themselves to make a difference. We would like to share some of these stories and praise our fantastic staff.

Burrumbuttock Hay Runners
With the help and dedication from a local driver, we have successfully been able to donate equipment and costs to facilitate a B Double of Hay to be transported to drought affected farmers in the Armidale area NSW.

Supporting Bushfire Efforts
A 4th Combat Service Support Battalion Merlo off-terrain forklift unloads donated pallets of water at Royal Australian Air Force Base East Sale on 4 January 2020.
A daytime photo if you find the other hard to see. This water was donated by Coca Cola Mentone and delivered to the Sale army base then loaded into trucks and Helicopters to make it to the people that required it.
Wayne (the driver) said it was an experience like no other having to drive into the area. The army and team waited for him to arrive at around 1am to unload as the water was needed that night to be ready to go out Saturday morning.
From the first call to delivery, we managed a 7-hour turnaround to have the water delivered using equipment from Bendigo.
Donated Books for Disadvantaged Students
Pickering Transport is proud to of been a part of the Swan Hill Regional Library and an anonymous library member in the efforts of delivering books donated to disadvantaged children in Papua New Guinea.

Barmera Show & Shine
This was a fundraiser for the
CFS Foundation , held at the Barmera Monash Football Club. Three of our fleet assets were provided for the day, cleaned and polished up by drivers Chad and Ash from our Renmark depot.

Brake Roller & Shaker
We are committed to safety on our roads and have made significant investment in specialized workshop equipment.
Our new ‘Brake Roller & Shaker’ is available to the RMS for certifying 3rd party vehicles, making us leaders in class.

Jump Starting an Aeroplane
"Hi, I would be pleased if you could pass on to your general manager a note of appreciation, I was stuck at the Renmark Airport last Monday morning with an aeroplane that was flooded and a tiring battery, I called Pickering Transport as after a few calls to various people I couldn’t get any assistance, I had to get going as I had an important work meeting on Monday. Your staff were pleasant and helpful, the lady that answered the phone Daniella did not hesitate to help and found Joe to come out and give us a jump, we got the plane started and I got to work. It’s harder to find pleasant, helpful people than it used to be, but your staff were just no fuss and pleasant, must be a good company, I am arranging to send the 2 staff an invite to come and stay in our accommodation for a couple of days including meals as a thank you."
Transport to Sydney
